Rêves Voltes – Lyon

LA VOLTE editions are teaming up with the La Virevolte bookstore, AADN, Le Shrubbery, the Maison de l’Environnement and the Villa Gillet to celebrate 20 years of developing desirable imaginaries.

This day, combining literary and scientific meetings, artistic highlights, dedications, workshops and role-playing, is structured around two themes dear to each of our partners: eutopia and the city of tomorrow. “Science fiction” and “imaginary” literature, these genres offer us a formidable prism for thinking about our present, experiencing other futures, and drawing alternative paths. Firmly anchored in reality, they are both a mirror of the present that they enjoy deploying in an infinity of possibilities and a breeding ground for projections that will elevate us towards a fairer world… Through stories that carry desires, ideas and emotions, we are thus led to imagine a better world, ways of life that are more open to others. To finally envision and build desirable futures. For one day, authors, artists, scientists and activists tackle the various social, ecological and civic issues that are shaking our century to try to draw optimistic perspectives from them.
